Stick out your neck to help your neighbors. Your talents and riches are exposed when you concentrate on helping others fill their needs. If you are assaulted or fear being assaulted for helping your neighbors, the chances are pretty good that, they won’t get help. The chances are equally good that you, will not, receive help from them, or others who are busy protecting their own interests. That leaves many people isolated, easy prey for those who feel no compassion for the demise of the vulnerable, and no responsibility for those rendered into involuntary servitude, or worse.
Economics is the application, and the study of the application of monetization as a method of perpetually allowing everyone to benefit from the efforts of all others. Its environment requires clarity. Part of that clarity is its only two rules. The first, treat others as you would want to be treated, if your positions were reversed; just, be kind. The second, respect and revere the fragility, and the awesomeness of our universe; which is our inheritance, and our responsibility.
People have personal moral values, and group moral values. As long as circumstances are favorable, they tend to live by them. When the people or groups are assaulted, or fear that they will be assaulted; their moral values no longer steer their behavior. Basic survival instincts cause sub-civilized behavior, hence the necessity for clarity in personal, familial, institutional, and governmental relationships. Personal and group attacks can be reduced in size and number, and the fear of them can be nearly eliminated.
